New Bacolod-Silay Airport
The New Bacolod-Silay Airport which started operating earlier this year is the aerial gateway to the province of Negros Occidental. It was my first time to set foot in the new airport and I can say that this airport has the potential to become an international airport someday as long as proper care and maintenance are implemented.
At first, I was a bit disappointed that the airport will be transferred to Silay. The fact that you have to pay extra in order to get there created a negative impression in my mind. But upon seeing the place and realizing the benefits that it brings not only to Silay but as well as to the whole province, I can say that the transfer of the Airport to Silay is really a good move.
